What to wear to beach family photos | Ponte Vedra, Florida
Color Palette - Neutral and pastel colors, such as soft pinks, cream, light blues, soft greens and white all photograph really well. Choosing colors that blend with the natural elements instead of competing with them is my favorite way to approach it.
Dresses for the win - I like to work with the wind and let it compliment the photos, rather than compete with it. That being said, a flowy dress photographs beautifully at the beach (or anywhere for that matter)! Plus - they are flattering on almost any body-type.
No Shoes, No problem - I may be stating the obvious for many, but you can put your shoes to the side during the photos as you will be barefoot!
Getting Wet or Dirty - Keep in mind your clothing will likely get wet and sandy. Something to consider when choosing clothing. I think during the summer, shorts are the way to go for the men in your life.
Other random thoughts...
Put a diaper cover or bike shorts under your daughter's dress.
Don't forget to take your phone or keys out of your pocket so that they don't show up in the photos.
Most importantly, don't stress choosing clothing! Utilize your photographer as a resource if you need someone to bounce ideas off of. We know what photographs well and have an eye for all of this!
