Q - What is a photography session like? A- I strive for laid back, stress-free photo sessions. I just ask that you come ready to be yourself and make some new memories with your family. At the beginning of your photoshoot, I will start with the typical smiling pictures, then the remainder of the session will consist of lots of playful, joy-filled candid photos. You will never have to wonder where to look or what to do, I will always coach you and your family!
Q - What are mini sessions? A - Mini sessions are small photo sessions booked back-to-back on the day and location of my choosing. They can not be booked independently. Mini sessions allow me to serve a lot of clients at once, saving me time in scheduling and driving, which allows me to offer them at a lower price. Minis are typically 15 minutes each with 10 included images. This is a great option for families looking for just a couple of images.
Q - How extensively do you edit our photos? A- I edit with a bright, warm, and light editing style that is timeless. I edit to correct color, exposure, and basic retouches including small blemishes, stray hairs, and whatever else I view as artistically necessary. You can rest assured I spend a lot of time editing each family's gallery! From time-to-time I get more extensive editing requests, which we can discuss on a case by case basis.
Q - Do you photograph weddings? A- I do not currently photograph weddings. I love to focus my efforts on families!
Q - What is your availability? A- I have a booking calendar that I keep up to date! I primarily schedule photoshoots on weekdays to reserve weekends for time with my family.
Our good friends since college were in town for Christmas and we had made plans to take their family pictures. When the forecast called for snow, I got SUPER excited. We did a little mini session which was perfect since they were freezing their butts off in the cold. Anything for good family pictures, am I right? We did take a little break to warm up in the car, which I always have my clients do this time of year! Here are a few of my favorites from the session. Something
Goodness, gracious. I am the worst at keeping a blog. I guess I have a few excuses. I have to confess that I sort of view it as a necessary evil to being a photographer and having a website. SEO and all that stuff. Once I actual start writing a post, I remember how therapeutic it can be to just write, even if no one reads it. In any event, I can and will get more consistent with it, as I have SOO much material to get this blog caught up with. A good problem! Starting wi
My friend Emma is so good about getting her family pictures updated, and I am thankful she trusts me to do so! When she had family in from out of town last week, we all headed over to Highbanks Metro Park to capture some group shots. While I am excited for fall to be here to begin photographing the leaves, I love the color of the greenery when shooting at this "end of summer" time. I'm really happy with the genuine moments I think we captured. You all have a beautiful family
We recently took a large family trip to the Outerbanks, NC. It was the perfect opportunity to snap some family pictures - something we haven't done in years! Here's the whole gang. I also capitalized on the opportunity and snapped some pictures of the grandparents with Caleb. I am sure these are pictures he will treasure one day. My sis-in-law also grabbed my camera for a few shots and did a great job capturing a few shots of our little family of 3. Lastly I did some coupl
